Safer play
Play Responsibly
A night at the palace should cost what you decided it would cost, and not a dollar or an hour more. Here are the controls we give you, the signs worth watching for and free Australian support that answers around the clock.

Still a game, or something else?
It’s still entertainment when…
- You set the budget before the first spin and stop when it is gone.
- A losing session is annoying, not frightening.
- You play with money left over after rent, bills and food.
- You can skip a day, or a month, without thinking about it.
- People close to you know how much you play.
Time to pause when…
- You deposit again to win back what you just lost.
- Sessions run far past the time you meant to stop.
- You borrow, sell things or skip bills to keep playing.
- You hide your play or feel irritable when you cannot play.
- Gambling has become the way you deal with stress.
Two or more on the right-hand list is a good reason to use one of the tools below and to ring 1800 858 858 for a chat.

Every tool lives under Account → Safer play on the website and in the iOS and Android apps.

See the real numbersSetting a deposit limit in two minutes
- Log in and open Account → Safer play → Deposit limit.
- Choose the period: day, week or month. Monthly limits are easiest to plan around pay day.
- Type an amount you would be fine losing entirely. Our smallest deposit is $10, so any figure from there up works.
- Save. A lower limit applies immediately; if you later want it higher, the new figure waits 7 days before it becomes active.
The seven-day wait is deliberate. Limits are set with a clear head; the wait protects that decision from a bad evening.
Choosing the right break
| Length | What happens to the account | Coming back |
|---|---|---|
| 24 hours | Login still works to withdraw, no deposits or play | Automatic when time is up |
| 7 or 30 days | No deposits, play or promotional messages | Automatic when time is up |
| 6 weeks | As above; any balance can be withdrawn first | Automatic when time is up |
| 6 months to 5 years | Account closed, balance paid out, marketing stopped | Only by asking, after a 7-day cooling period |
| Permanent | Account closed for good | Not possible |
Self-exclusion cannot be shortened once it starts, and we do not open new accounts for the same person during it.
Blocks beyond the palace
Our tools only cover our own casino. For wider protection, stack them:
- Blocking software such as Gamban or BetBlocker stops gambling sites and apps loading on your devices.
- Your bank. Most major Australian banks can block gambling transactions on your cards from their app or by phone.
- BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register at betstop.gov.au, excludes you from all Australian-licensed online and phone wagering providers in one go.
- Someone you trust. Telling one person is often the strongest block of all.
How the maths really works
- Our library averages a 96.9% RTP. That figure is measured over millions of rounds; your own session can end far below it.
- Every spin and hand is independent. A game is never “due” to pay, and no pattern predicts the next result.
- Near misses are part of how slots are designed. They are not a sign a win is close.
- Bonuses come with wagering requirements. Read them before you accept, and never chase a bonus with money you need.
Keeping under 18s out
Every player is age-verified before withdrawing, and accounts found to belong to minors are closed. At home, you can help:
- Lock the Azure Fortune Palace app behind Face ID, fingerprint or a PIN.
- Use Screen Time on iPhone or Family Link on Android for shared devices.
- Never save your casino password in a browser children use.
When it’s someone you love
Gambling harm reaches partners, parents and kids long before it reaches the bank balance. Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858 counsels family members too, even if the person gambling is not ready to talk.
- Pick a calm moment, not straight after a loss.
- Talk about what you have noticed and how it affects you, rather than labels.
- Protect your own money: separate accounts, and no loans “just this once”.
What we do on our side
- Help desk staff are trained to recognise signs of harm and can apply a time-out on request during opening hours, 08:00–22:00.
- We watch for patterns such as rapid repeat deposits and reach out when we see them.
- Self-excluded and timed-out players receive no promotions, including the monthly cashback challenge and VIP offers.
- Our Malta Gaming Authority licence requires these protections and audits how we apply them.
No section on this page mentions that. Try a shorter word, or ask the help desk.
